It's been 1 Year

It's our anniversary today. It's already been a year since we both hooked up with each other.

Was going through my emails in the office and came accross this email which Boo sent to me during his pikating (courting) days. Here it is below.

You seem to always know, How to make my days so bright You always take
the time to ask, if I need anything before we say goodbye.
You're so true and loving, Only god can only know How much you mean to
me, how much you capture my heart and soul.

You seem to know what I need in this world, Whenever I am lost, Taking
the time to share with me, You're open-heart and deepest thoughts.
You keep me smiling even if I am down and blue.
Making me feel the bond we have with each other is even stronger than
glue.

I may at times not know, How to show you how much I care I can only tell
you; I will all ways for you be there.
Time goes by so fast whenever I'm with you.
I really enjoy our conversations with someone sweet and true.

I hope in this world, we can always be good friends.
This friendship means so much to me. Praying this will never end.
I will always be here to listen to you.
Till the lord sends me to the heavens one day

ED...
We both met at our previous working place. We were both in the same department. All of us use to joke around during our free time. Boo on the other hand was always the joker and the funny one. Our friendship grew from there. After I left that place, we both started hanging out together with my friends. Slowly he became a member of the Dugong club. During that time, boo started to have feelings for me. Didn't even know about his feelings with all his hints he gave me. Guess you would call me a blur case. We used to play a game during our office times when both of us were working at separate company...Actually I started this game only as an excuse to communicate with him everyday. The game was "How well you know me". We used to give questions about ourselves be it physical, family or hobby.
After a year of keeping his feelings about me, he finally confessed to me early in the morning after a Halloween party we attended. We were parked in front of Agilent facing the sea. Gosh was I so nervous.
So from there on we started our journey as a couple. Can't imagine it's 1 year already....
So here's to my Boo...
Happy Anniversary to you. Muacks....
People: We're going to Seoul Garden for dinner today. Yuppie I love that place. View post on 28/9/2005: Makan Time Part (1) about what Seoul Garden has to offer.

New Restaurant in Gurney Plaza

Sunday for lunch, followed my parents to try out this new restaurant located at the basement of Gurney Plaza. The Restaurant's called Pastasia. It's quite new. I think about a months old only. They sell Fusion Food. The menu was ok. Had some really fusion type of food. But however what was on the menu doesn't really go with the name of the restaurant. Why I say so.....there's not much variety of Pasta dishes!!! They have, appetisers (which is non pasta), Pizza (non pasta), Fish and Meat (non pasta), and a small section of Pasta dishes. That also ain't fusion-ish.

Apart from the menu, I liked the layout of the place. I liked the chair(sofa) which I sat on. Pretty moden and nice. The colour scheme for the restaurants black and white...so it brings some class to the place.

So this was what I ordered in the end. Didn't want to have the Pasta as I'm on a no Carbo diet....but in the end I had carbo's. But nevermind..weekend I'm out to enjoy my food abit. This is called a foldover pizza. The same as to what I had in my previous blog from Bella Italia (Post: 16/9/2005: Have you seen this size before). However this time it's being deep fried...ouch imagine the fats!! Ok back to the pizza, this was a Turkey Ham, mushroom and cheese foldover pizza. Taste wise, I'll give it a 4 out of 10. It didn't have Oumph... They should improve on making the taste more intense...perhaps more pizza herbs. But however I must say they were very generous with the Mozarella Cheese....had alot of it till I nearly choked on it trying to chew it down. Price@RM19.50++

This was what my dad had. He too is on a no carbo diet as well. This is called a Thai Style Seafood Salad. What's inside....1 mussle, 1 prawn, sotong, onion leaves, tomato, salad leave, Cucumber, chilli and purple salad. Portion was very small. Taste wise it had an intense thai taste. But it was too saltish. I didn't try it...so wouldn't be able to rate it. Price@RM10.50++

Next, finally a pasta dish. This was what my mum had, Carbonara Pasta. It does look good...but taste wise I'll give it 6 over 10. What was missing??? It was missing the bacon fragrance and taste. They put ham bits in which ain't tasty. Cream wise...it's was nice a creamy. Improvements to this would be to add in red wine, bacon bits and Black Pepper. Price@13.50 (i think).

Guess this would be the first and last visit to this restaurant.

Buka Puasa Fiesta

Finally my crave has been fullfilled. Sat evening Boo and me went to Mak Long area for the Buka Puasa food. Boy was that place packed. Had alot of stalls and people. Take a look at the photo above.

We walked around, hunting for food. There were alot of stalls selling food. But mostly alot of repeated types. Then there were stalls selling clothes such as sarongs, Baju Kurung, Songket etc.
Armed with my camera, I took a few shots here and there. Had a few stares as to why I'm taking pictures...but who cares!

Here's a picture of a stall selling grilled chicken. We ordered 2 chickens...hahhaha....they served the grilled chicken with a sweetish, peanut gravy (see the red container). Check out the guy grilling the Chickens. The chickens are placed in a rotary thing that will spin and roast the chicken. But one thing that wasn't good, everytime the guy fans the charcoal, little bits of ashes get stuck on the chicken. Talk about getting cancer!!!

This stall sells during the night market near my area. This guy sells weird types of cakes. He has the thick types of pancake, Ban Chang Kuih too (the folded looking pancake right at the end). The second last cake is made fully from coconut grains. He places the coconut grains in the mould plate, sprinkles some sugar and cooks it. Haven't tried that though. Then the third type is a mixture of chocolate together with the original flavour. The texture of this cake is smooth and slightly on the stiff hard type. Has a strong taste of something I can't seem to get it. Then comes the first round looking cake. We bought it. It had a slight banana cake and in the middle there was Strawberry Jam or Read Bean.

Next stop was finally my Roti Jala. Bought 10 pieces of it. To some of you who may not now what it's made of....it's basically, flour mixed with santan, salt, water, kunyit and soaked with a pandan leave for smell. Why is it called Roti Jala? Jala stands for Netting. Doesn't it look like some netting? Once it's cooked you have to eat it together with Curry. It's delicious!!

During buka puasa times, the muslims would normally go for a sweet drink first before their meal. Why...I wouldn't know...anyone knows? But anyhow just look at the different coloured drinks sold.
This stall....I have no idea what they were selling.....

But I manage to get everything I was craving for except Lemang. Looks like this year not many are selling Lemang. Spent nearly RM 50 just on buka puasa food! Yummy!

Nasi Indonesia

Food updates again..... this time this was introduced by boo to me.

If you happen to be driving pass Transfer Road during lunch time....Try and make a stop at this place. It's called Kedai Kopi International Hotel. No...i'm not asking you to book a room.....
There's a coffee shop below selling Indonesian Food (malay food). It's a must try.

There is quite alot of variety of dishes to choose from. You can have Chicken/ fish/ mutton curry to fried chicken and fish. Then there is the Potato stuffing which I like...yummy. There's alot of vegetable dishes from normal char vege to ulams. Once I tried out the "Hati" from the banana (Banana Flower). It was tasteless. But you have to eat it together with Sambal. Abit weird texture. But nah shall not have it again.

The picture above is another section of more food. Check out the fried fish stuffed with sambal. If I'm not mistaken it's called Cencaru fish. See in one of the pot that has a green content...i've never tried that curry before.

Boo did the eating this time. I was temaning him for lunch as I had already had my lunch with my parents. So was just incharge of taking some pics. Look at the size of the person next to Boo.....!!!!

This is Boo's regular dishes which he'll always take. Fried Chicken, Char Vege and his super time favourite, deep fried tiny fish which is crispy. The rice looks alot...but don't worry I made sure he didn't eat all of it.

2 More days

I've got 2 more working days here at my old office. Been slowly cleaning up my table. It's kinda nice feeling. Documents not relevant, throw away. Information of things not relevant to me, throw away. Documents for reference which I'm not going to need, pass down. It's like some spring cleaning going on....but you get to throw alot of things away....hahahaha

Sales person here...as expected...one is leaving same day as me. She didn't even last for a month! Now the other sales guy....he's beginning to freak out as just this month 4 colleagues tendered in. Since I'm no longer here to do quotations, he's getting overloaded with it. He has to juggle with quotes and appointments with customers. I can seriously understand his dilemma. When I was fully doing all quotes, when there were no sales person hired, it was pretty tight for me to juggle with it. Plus with issues on pricing, part number this and that from customer serviceI was really up to my neck. Used to sometimes get so irritated when small matters customer service comes to look for me to solve. Like 'duh' solve it yourself! Then I used to get so pissed when the company took so long to hire sales people. They just depended on me so much to service the customers indoor. What if I decided to leave then....the company would be sales person-less. Customer service here don't know anything about quoting and pricing...bosses not around...no one here has product knowledge....It was seriously a risk the company took.

But one thing I'm proud of myself....I manage to learn everything on my own hardwork. From someone with no electronic component knowledge...I manage to pull through on my own. Pushed myself to learn as much I can, understand as much I can and made sure I don't have to depend on anyone...work independantly. That's the best medicine to succeed.

I used to have a hard time with one of my principles (supplier). He is one arrogant fella. Used to hate talking to him. He wasn't approacable. Wasn't helpfull. But I pulled through. Today he has praised me on my work to my boss and department head. Said I've improved alot. I'm very efficient with my work. I'm performing very well. He even gave me a call to inform me of what he thinks about me. Gosh....was I superbly surprised when he said that.

But unfortunately, I'm leaving this company. When he got the news about my tender, he himself was shocked. Asked me why. Then he said why so weird timing when he just appraised me to my boss (which is something he rarely does). Well even if i continued here, with his praise, I doubt I'm going to get any increment or anything. My boss here for one thing, didn't even give me a proper appraisal last year. Like I would get a proper one this year?

The funny thing, only when I leave people here start to appreciate me. The new sales are saying I'm very important. Even the sales told me that my boss told them I'm very important to the company. For me important isn't the right word....I would rather say they depend on me to get work done. Hmmmm......

Oh well aside all the negative things, will certainly miss this company. Since we are a few here, there's a bond between everyone. There's freedom here to a certain extend. We have makan sessions occasionally. We joke around. We gossip abit. We get to know everyone personally. I don't have to do 4 hrs OT...hehehhehehe

Well I'll certainly miss this company.

No Internet

NOoooooooo.......

How will I survive without the Internet when I work. I've always been working in an office with Internet Connection. Now in my new place.......NONE

No more checking of mails, blogging, surfing the net.......no more checking movie times, no more searching on parts......I'm going to be so bored. How to release tension at work when I want to get my mind of work for awhile?

Help...........Looks like only entertainment would be emails. How am I going to update this blog? Home PC's so slow....

Hmmm......

Sleepy *Yawn*

Oh Boy......I just want my bed. Hate this type of feeling

Thinking of making a cup of coffee but office water has been contaminated with dirt. Yea...no one realised it until just now when I had a guy to carry the huge bottle in the machine. There was some water trapped below and had dirt floating. What I sight to see.....Imagine all this while I've been drinking the water!!!

Can't wait for lunch. Brought my own food with some Turkey meat. Yesterday entered the pantry at my new work place...There's 2 microwave. So that means I still can heat up my lunch there. But I have to eat it in the canteen I suppose. Made friends with a girl. She's friendly. Thank goodness. She even offered me her canteen pass if I wanted to get some food for dinner.

Training yesterday, the girl left early without letting me know. She was feeling unwell. I waited in the lobby for near 15 mins till the lady I report to came down. She briefed me on lotsa reports that I was so blur. Left me alone to play around with the system...but I didn't play much cos scared I may accidently change some figures. So I left early at around 8.15.

Headed to Sunshine square. Passed by a parking lot and saw a sign..."Propose to build a Cyber Building" Gosh...I can just imagine how miserable the building would be. In this time, there's so many office lot opening up...but occupancy is miserable...so this would just be a waste of money.

Guess what I'm craving???? Buka Puasa food. Been wanting to go get some food but time does not permit me too. Ahhhhhh I want Ketupat with Satay gravy, Lemang with Dried Rendang, Roti Jala with Chicken Curry and the funny thing Murtabak too!!!!Shitz puasa going to be over soon.

Back to my Diet. These few days, diet's still going on schedule. Last night...I did some excercise at home. I just get that craving feeling to sweat and excercise. I think I'm hooked to excercising now. Or perhaps I'm having a guilty feeling cos I won't be going to the gym this whole week. Hmmm....

Hungry.............

Bangkok 2004

Was browsing through the photo's in the office. Came across some photos taken during our 2004 Company Trip at Bangkok.

This is when we arrived at Bangkok airport. The airport ain't that specular as I expected it to be.
The aim is to cross the Chao Phrya river to get to that temple
So we all got into a boat and headed towards the temple
The journey was interesting. Passing all the wodden houses by the river. Got to see how some Thai's live by the river banks

Got to experience abit of "floating market" where people sell all sorts of things using their sampan and approach people on boats

Check out the goodies he has in his sampan to sell. But this ain't easy to do as you need to balance yourself on the boat at the same time, preventing your boat to move away with the current and at the same time serving your customers. I would say it would take someone with experience to manage this

See how spectacula the temple is
This event was somethign interesting. While eating we were entertained with some Thai cultural dance.
The setting was special. We sat on the floor. The table was set up beautifully. Food was ok. Had quite alot of dishes

This is a Tiger Zoo. But ironically it didn't have much tigers.
This is a huge baby tiger. Before we saw this there were booths were we could carry a tiny baby tiger and feed it milk. It was interesting. Just makes me wanna hug and squeeze the tiny baby tigers. If only they weren't carnivors I'll certainly keep one at home. Like a big huge cuddly cat
There was a race for these pigs. Which pigs runs the fastest to the finishing line. Check out the kids behind them. The pigs in the end actually turned back and chased the kids in the end. It was hillarous. Crocodiles. I've never seen so many before. At first glance they look fake.
This stop was a waste of time. Tour guides were trying to con us by bringing us to this useless so-called-herb factory. Basically it was more of a Direct marketing place to buy herbs pills

Tuk Tuk....this is a motorcycle cum trishaw. They are mad on the road. So be on guard if you try it.

The trip was good. It was my first Overseas trip further than Singapore. Enjoyed it alot although would have prefered if my Boo was with me to experince Bangkok. Althought the trip was interesting I had left my family, friends and my boo behind in Penang to bid farewell to 2004 and welcome 2005. How did I spend the countdown...in the hotel room with my colleague looking out the window for miserable fireworks. Oh boy what a waste. Actually we had a big plan for the countdown but all celebrations were cancelled in respect of the lives cherished during the Tsunami Disaster in Phuket, India and Indonesia.

Know what's good in Bangkok....shopping!!! Where is good to shop...you have to go to the huge night markets called (mine my spelling) Chatuchak market and "J"...darn forgot the name. But those places were the best....you can find all sorts of things there plus you can bargain further. I bought alot of T shirts with cool remarks and logos.

Food wise, we followed the tour so the food we got weren't nice. It's a pity I didn't get to try out the food there. Didn't even get to have Tom Yam!!!

Gosh must really make a trip back there again.

Wanna smell my butt?

See his evil eyes. He's waiting to catch a female. Come come where ever you are

My Lucky is in serious need for a Female dog. He needs to experience it once and for all.

Recently he's getting really itchy-fied. He's targeting to get on top of my Casey. But she being a fierce one...she'll growl at him when he starts smelling her butt. The funny thing sometime when her growls don't work.....she'll run towards me for protection. That's so cute of her!!!

Then nowadays Lucky will just jump on you and hump on your leg...."mengelikan" So now i'm in desperate need to find him a female to have a one night stand.....but so far all the female goldies which i've contacted are still so young. Haven't gotten their first period yet.

So looks like Lucky will still have to remain as a virgin

Sniff sniff...hmmmm wonderfull.......

New work exposure

Yesterday at my new office turned out well. Reached there at 6.15pm. Reported to the guard house. Had to wear a special cloth like shower cap on my feet.

Met my boss to be. It's a lady. Seems very nice and approachable. Hope my first impression of her is correct. Then I was showed to my table to be. I'm sharing the cubicle with another girl. Cool...at least I'll have company...but somehow she didn't seem friendly...arrghhh. Looks like I have to try and get to know her. If only everyone was like me...friendly and approachable. I hate having people who aren't friendly and approachable, like you mind your own business and I mind my own...oh darn.

My table....it's cool....it's longer, like a L shape. And it's green everywhere. Then I have my own cabinet. Actually each table has their own cabinet. It's on my shoulder level. Then I have my own drawer also....cool!!! I'm covered by three cubicle walls....so that gives me abit of privacy plus i can stick notes and cute stuffs on the cubicle walls.

The girl taught me how to create P/O and understand the demand and supply of materials needed. The funny thing is...I could capture most of it. Some terms came clearer for me as in my current work place...I've heard of certain terms....now I finally understand it. So i'm not so lost in my work to take over. But can't say much it was my first evening exposure. Dunno what she'll teach me this evening.

But it was a tiring day...I left there at 9.20pm with a headache. I think I was too hungry.

The scary thing is that there were alot of poeple staying back till 9 pm...oh boy am I going to be like them?? That means no Gym for me during the weekdays!!! It's sad....but what to do have to make sacrifices. Maybe when I get familiar with my work...I'll try and manage my time and perhaps shorten my lunch time and don't go for breakfast break together with tea breaks. Hope that will help.

Boo on the other hand...Thanks for being my driver....He has volunteered to fetch me back from work when I have to work overtime. Looks like I won't be driving to work as the car park is limited and it's kinda scary to park outside along the road as you have big big vehicles using the road.

So shall see what the second day brings for me....

Dad's B'Day

On the 15th of Oct, my dad celebrated his 53 rd Birthday. Usually when it comes to his birthday he always likes to have home cooked food. Last year we had my mum cook Laksa. This year it was Popiah

This is the pot of sliced sengkuang filled with chinese mushroom, etc, together with pork bones boiled to flavour the dish

On the table, chopped crab stick, chopped eggs, chopped prawns, slices of chicken breast, chopped soya, chopped corriander leaves, chopped fried garlic, chopped fried onions, salad leaves, chilli and black sauce and popiah skin

The fun starts, place the popiah skin on your plate. Rub some black sauce and chilli on the skin. Then place a salad leave in the middle. Then squeeze out the juices from the sengkuang, place in right on top of the salad leave. Garnish it with some crab stick, prawns, egg, soya, fried garlic and onions. If you want a touch of Vietnamese style of popiah, put some Coriander leaves in the popiah.

Once you've put all the goodies on top of the popiah skin, it's time to fold into a tube looking shape. See the popiah on the plate. Slice it into 3-4 pieces (mouth size). Pour some soup from the mengkuang dish and open your mouth wide to start eating.....

See my boo....mouth as wide as he can. He does it the Ed way....eat the popiah like a hot dog (didn't slice it)

All busy eating

Popiah is a good meal to eat. It's not fattening and it's healthy. Why?? It's all vegetable. Everything is boiled. You can eat as much as you like....but mine you, you can get full fast. It's nice to eat it with your family as you will be chit chatting on the table while making your popiah. Like what happened, we all ended up making fun of each others popiah shape. But the expert was my dad. Popiah shape was perfect.

Here comes the cake. Home made buy my mum. It's Yogurt Cheese cake with Apricot toppings. Ran out of candles so my dad was only 3 yrs old.

Dad's making his wish before he blows his cake.

Cutting the cake.....Look at the presents behind the cake.

Finally bought my dad two Valentino T shirts. Boo on the other hand bought a Adidas T shirt too. So looks like my dad has enough t shirts to last him for the whole year!

New Job update

Well submitting of my Resignation went well. Imagine the night before...I actually was dreaming about it the whole night...madness!!!

My last working day should be on the 2nd of NOV. That would give me 4 days to rest.

I've always been waiting for this to happen. Last time use to see my ex colleagues passing over their work to newbies or old bies. Used to think...wah no more work worries for them. So now i'm experiencing it. It feels good. I'm indeed happy...but abit worried. Worried cos the girl who's taking over my work, we've become quite close these few months and worried that she might have problems later on when I'm not around.

Today started to clear my table. Filling all my documents. Passing over all documents to the new girl. But must try and curi back some catalogs so that in future I can refer back to. Kinda relaxed now....whatever work comes in I pass to others to do. So I'm basically...sitting around teaching people....hehehehe. Guess this would be my best week ever in the office. But this week would be very tiring for me...as I have to hop over to Plexus at 6 this whole week to take over work from the girl that is leaving......geeee wonder how the work is.....Hopefully they teach well.

So now, a few colleagues have asked where would I like to go makan. Some sort like my farewell makan....I'm still thinking where....I want something unique and western-ish. But dunno everyone's busy now plus the festive holiday next week. Dunno if they'll take me out in the end anot....hmmmm

Diet Update

So happy, so far I've lost about 5KG since September. My semangat still going strong. Feel kinda happy....Last few days was going through my closet. Certain clothes which I could not enter last time...I can enter now. Yahooo.....

But I still need to loose around 10 kg more....then I'll be satisfied.

Yam Rice with Sour soup

We found it we found it.....

Boo and me have long time been craving to eat this Yam Rice thingy for a long time. First people who introduced it to us was Cyn and Jacko. It's located over-the-sea somewhere in Chai Leng Park.

What's so nice about it???
Well....you choose what ever parts of the pig you want together with meatballs. Then as a side dish you can order Tu Kar Chor or Tau Yu Bak. This dishes are then served with Yam rice. The Yam rice is tasty. You can really find pieces of yam in the rice.

The soup on the other hand is unique in taste as it is sour-ish with pickled vegetables in it. The taste.....wonderfull.....and to add more Ummphhh to it.....it's cheap!!!!!It only cost us RM13 !!!! Yes!! Very the cheap. 2 Yam Rice, 1 Big Bowl of Soup (inside is meat balls, pork meet, and the sour pickled vegetables) and 1 big bowl Tau Yu Bak (for 4 person)..
The Shop start their business from 10am onwards. But around 12pm till dono what time, the place will be pack.

Err.. Maldini Paradise?

The 2 buggers somewhere at Maldini Paradise for their holiday
It says :
Hey James, is me Paul! How are you? Check out our pics earlier taken in Maldini Paradise. Is owesome.
I’m so jealous. Why? Paul and James went for a holiday without me? And I found from the post card which Paul sent to James. They went to Maldini O_o? Where the hell is that place?
