I had two cakes

Have you ever been that crazy with food? Have you ever travelled so far just to eat something? Well that's what me and my friends did.

It was actually an early birthday celebration. The Dugongs planned a makan trip all the to Jitra, Alor Setar. There's this Thai restaurant there which I once tried last time and enjoyed the food. What was really excellent there was their crispy chicken with Thai Saue...MMmm to the max. And this place was also where I first got introduced to a unique dessert- Coconut Jelly.

After dinner look what they got me...a Birthday cake!!! Yahoo...So they lighted the candles but did not sing any birthday song as they all felt 'malu'.

Then on my birthday day itself, I had to work. Yea company was having a new system. Was slaved to work the whole weekend. Had to work until 1 am in the morning just to mearly be in the office to do data validation. But enough of the complains, my colleagues gave me a surprise. The first surprise ever I have got. I was at my table doing some work. Then suddenly a colleague was telling me that there is a meeting in the meeting room. So fine I got up all grumpy and walked my way to the room. As I opened the door, in the split second I was telling myself how come the room was so dark. So as I stepped into the room....everyone in the room started to clap their hands and they sang my birthday song. Man was I so surprised. It was so unexpected. They bought me a Secret recipe cake, Americano. It was Good!! And as a present for me, my superior said that i can go back. Yahooooo.....pretended to go "ah nola no need, then it's not fair for the rest" But hahahha they insisted so fine, I rushed back home after that.

What a birthday. Thanks everyone.

So as for me I already have a slight soar throat...I think my body's fighting the germs....I better dose myself with lots of vitamins. So okthen..have to wake him up now to open the door for me to leave...It's going to take me around 15 minutes to wake him up....help!!!!

Boo's new car

Look People it's Boo's new car.

Doesn't it look lovely...but only thing it's yellow. Boy did this cost him a bomb.
Hqahahahaha no-la. During our KL trip, we came across this car by the roadside and we took pictures of it. There were two actually. The other one was red.

So guess Boo has to keep on hoping...someday he shall have his dream car!!!

Food filling trip to KL

Here's some updates (outdated though) about our last KL trip last year.

So first we started off with Lunch at this chinese noodle shop at Sungai Wang. There was alot of people and we were lucky that we manage to get a place to sit. So I ordered some Roasted Duck Noodle. Boo had rice i think and we ordered a big bowl of Prawn dumplings. Food was okla. Shal not be going there again. Can get the same food in Penang.

Next up for dinner, we went to my ever favourite CHILLIS at KLCC. I ordered a Lemon butter fish which was served together with the fragrance rice. It was good. Boo on the other hand had a beef rib and chicken combo thingy. The beef ribs was super good. Well marinated and and it was super duper soft and tender. It's a must try for everyone. And being greedy we ordered another dish. Appetiser actually...but boy was it a huge appetiser. It had Chicken wings, fish fingers, and egg roll with three types of sauces. Marvellous.

Next up the next day, we headed to Midvalley for more food. Bumped into Boo's colleagues. They were leaving for Genting. So anyways look at the shops behind them. That whole floor is full of restaurant and food goodies for me. First off, we headed for our Tako Tao at Jaya Jusco...ohh lalala. This is a Japanese fastfood dish. You can choose from either Prawn and Cheese, Chicken Ham and cheese or Octopus. It's basically a special flour mixture mixed with alot of vege such as Cabbage. But it's lovely. Once it's cooked in those tiny hole's it is then coated with a special sweet sauce and a dash of mayonaise. After that they add in a spoon of "fish flakes"...(i'm not sure what it is). Super good. It'll get you hooked!!!

Then next we stopped by this new shop called Beard Papa. They only sell CREAM PUFFS!!. And look how huge it is. So we bought one. It's actually a Japanese Shop as the workers greeted us in Japanese. Cream Puff was good coming from person who doesn't fancy it. But it was good. A tip..eat it while it's hot.

So after all the snacks, we finally headed for our real lunch. Went to Yoshinoya. Boo's favourite Japanese Fastfood place. This is what we ordered.

Picture above is an Ice Cream stall at Midvalley. He uses a long scopp to dig and scoop up the ice creams.

For dinner, since it was new years eve we headed to KLCC to see the fireworks. Had dinner at the food court. The place was packed. I ordered Satay from Satay King....boy was the satay huge!!!Taste wise...it had standard.

So moving on, the next day we headed to Ikea for breakfast and I had Boo try out Ikea's food. This is what we had. Boo liked the Sweedish Meatballs the most.

Then for lunch we choose a restauyrant called "Paddington House" at the curve. This place basically sells all sort of Pancakes. I ordered Chicken Sausage Ham and Mozarella pancake while Boo had some Chicken Pancake. It was unique. Not bad la..but i think i won't go there again. Nothing so Wow about. I can even cook it myself at home.

So that's about the Food eating spree we had in KL.

Valentine's Day

When comes to any celebration, no other company can challenge Dell. Look at this cubies, it’s full of love shape balloons.

So it’s Valentine Day, everyone buying flowers, gifts, chocolate, and etc. But not for me. There was no flower, no chocolate, and there was not even a nice formal dinner like what other couple do.

Not to say that I’m stingy or what. But for me, Valentine Day is just a celebration. And Lucky me, I have a GF who is very understanding. Like what Kenny Sia from www.kennysia.com mentioned, 14th Feb is the day when stupid guys get suckered into buying OVERPRICED roses, OVERPRICED soft toys and OVERPRICED chocolates from some opportunistic money-minded vampires.. hahaha.. true what he means.

But the fact is, do you all know what is Valentine’s Day means? Ok, this goes back to an ancient times, when people paid honor to the Roman God of Fertility. This was known as the Feast of Lupercalia, and was celebrated even then on February 14th.

So, what I did was, went for a normal dinner, no roses, no gifts as I bought the gifts last month and gave it to Cher’s on the spot. Hehehe.. And no fancy dinner. Went back to her house, watch TV with her and the mom.
