Singapore Trip

It has been 2 months since our Singapore trip which we stayed at Crowne Plaza, Changi Airport for 4 nights and 5 days. The trip was a total relaxation for me while Ed had to attend a 3 days training session. In the evenings after his training we would rush to catch the MRT train down to town for some window shopping.

I really enjoyed myself here at the hotel relaxing and doing nothing for the whole day. My itinerary every day was getting up in the morning for breakfast, then heading back to the room to sleep and waking up around 10 am when house keeping comes to clean the room. During this time, I would walk out the Airport and spent my time roaming the whole Changi Airport jumping from one terminal to another. I think I would say I know every corner of the Changi Airport by hard. Since the Hotel was connected to Terminal 3, it was really convenient for me to find food and snacks to eat in the hotel. There were a lot of shops around which you could shop and dine. They call this the B2 Mall. They even have a grocery market here where you could buy what ever groceries you need from fresh fruits to cereals to toilet utensils etc.

We got macaroons in the room the first day as a welcome gesture

Hoping to each terminal was easy as all you need to do is to take the sky train. So far Terminal 3 was the best for me as there were more shops here compared to Terminal 1 (old) and Terminal 2 (quite ok)

See how the trolleys were arranged
So around noon I would come back to the room and relax again while watching the movies shown on TV. What was cool about the room was that the bath tub area you could actually relax in warm water while watching TV through the glass wall. Then in the afternoons around 3 I would head down to the gym or the swimming pool to exercise a bit. By 5 I would be back again to the room to have a shower and get ready for Ed to return before heading out to town for dinner and sight seeing.

Loved it here in Singapore. I think my last trip here was when I was 21 years old. But not much have changed since then. It has always been ultra modern, systematic and clean. This is what I love mostly about Singapore. Even the transportation here is superb.

We both did not do much shopping but we visited quite a number of malls here. First night we headed to Orchard Road and walked around a bit. Found a lot of youngsters hanging around everywhere. Some areas reminded me so much of Bintang Walk in KL. For dinner we usually chose food courts to eat it (budget!). You can be amazed by the variety of food you get here in the food courts.

Both of us in Orchard Road

Second night, we went to a mall called Tempines. And here is where I found MOS Burger. So I had to order back some for supper.

Third night, we just hanged around Changi Airport as Ed finished late. Showed him every corner of the airport and shops they had around here. He was amazed by it.

Fourth night, since it was the last night, we went all out. Headed to Raffles City and Bugis Junction. Loved Bugis Junction a lot. Some areas reminded so much of Penang's Garage when the place first opened.

Then a colleague of Ed's took us for chilly crabs. The colleague said "You cannot come to Singapore and not try our Chilly Crabs". So ok, we took his invitation and headed to a place where they had chu char food. Made the colleague do the ordering and this is what we had.

Salted egg Crab- This was extremely good!

Then we even made a stop at this Hotel called Intercontinental Hotel. Place was superb and very classy indeed. Took some pictures of it.
