After the Pangkor trip, a week later I was at Alor Star for another holiday trip with my cousins. This time it was to attend my cousins swimming competition apart from other reasons.
So this is where I got to drive down a Honda Accord from Penang to Alor Star. It was not the latest model but the model before it. But the car handling was really good.
We all stayed at Holiday Villa which was a pretty good hotel. Had ourselves two connecting rooms which 1 room had a pull down bed. Did not do much sightseeing here but manage to see the Padi Museum just located next to the swimming pool where lil' cousin was having her competition.
Swimming competition went well. It was a long day for my cousin as they were there from 7 am till 8 pm. But with all the tiredness and all my lil cousin did not walk home empty handed. She had a Gold, a Silver and 2 bronze medals. Really good for an 8 year old girl. She even swam in relays with 13 year old kids and still manage to kick their ass. She is aiming to be in the 2016 Olympics swimming for Malaysia.
