Fu Wang Restaurant

Another duck place again which we tried. It is located along Hutton Lane just further down to the New World Park car park entrance. Place is called Fu Wang Restaurant. The shop closes every Wednesday.

What is different here is that not only do they sell rice but also noodles which you can eat together with your duck meat. But my advise would be to aim for the oil rice or chicken rice. It is superb! Fragrant and tasty.
Noodles available:
Special Duck/ Honey Pork Noodles RM 7.50/ RM 4.00
Special Duck/ Honey Pork White Noodles RM 7.50/ RM 4.00
So how was the duck meat? Per my duck expert, Ed, he says the taste of the duck is the same to the famous Lip Sin duck stall (Happy Cafe) which we blogged before.
We also ordered a plate of char siew pork. It was really good- meat was sweet, tasty and juicy. Thumbs up for this dish. Highly recomended.
Then we also ordered some siu kao "huge wan tans" which were really good. What was different was that it had slices of mushrooms in it which gave the wan tan a whole new different taste. Thumbs up for this.
However we had a big disappointment with their Kiam Chai soup. Somehow it had a strong chlorine taste which sort off turned us off. Does it cost a bomb to get a proper water filter for cooking? I have a feeling they used tap water for their soup- Big turn off!
Well basically putting the soup aside, we were both quite satisfied with lunch and would probably be back here again for more rice, duck, char siew and sui kao, but certainly not for the soup.
