Mee Udang was not bad...I wouldn't really know how to grade it as this is only my third try of having mee udang. We had four huge prawns in each bowl which were very fresh. Gravy here was to my liking as it was not spicy. I could slurp up all the soup.
Beside Mee Udang they have also created other dishes such as Nasi Goreng Udang and Mee Goreng Udang. Common similarity is in the taste as they use the same soup stock. How was the damage (bill), well 3 bowls of Mee Udang with one extra mee and a plate of Nasi Goreng udang together with drinks cost us RM 54.
After eating we took adrive around the area to check out the beach. Stopped by this place, more like a fishermans village and the beach there was awesome. It's kinda like in a lagoon shape and had a waterfall at one end and a small river you could walk through which goes out to the sea. Had alot of school of fishes swimming together. They were more like Ikan Billis. But the stupid thing, when they swim near the shore and when the waves push them to the sand, some sorta get left behind when the water subsides. Jumping for their lives to get back to water, some survive some eventually suffocate, die and dry up on shore. Me being a good soul manage to rescue a few from their death. I bet my friend Ros would probably leave them to die, knowing her past childhood times.
Water was clear. Another one of those see feet clear water thing. Was walking in the water chasing the fishes when suddenly Ed realized there were a number of bigger fishes all floating around. They were dead. Was a bit weird, so we quickly got out of the water thinking there must be some kind of pollution in the water. bummer, just when I was enjoying myself.
Our friend said this beach in the evening alot of people come to dig for Siput (clams). Cool, must come one evening and do it. Lastly, I think this beach was one of the badly hit by tsunami because it's an open sea.
