Padang Brown for Tea Time food

This place was introduced by my dad. What is famous here is the crab popiah and the kerabu beehoon.

This Padang Brown food court place is the oldest hawker center place in Penang. It's located along Dato Keramat and Anson Road. Well if your familiar with the big field along Data Keramat, this hawker center is just at the corner of the field shaped in a circle like mini stadium. Apparently this was the first hawker center here in Penang. Hard to believe that it's still operating until today. Well as I mentioned, this place is famous for its crab popiah. This shop only starts selling at 2pm onwards. You may have to wait awhile before your Popiah is served as everytime I go there's alot of people ordering.

You may think that the crab popiah only has crab stick in it...well your wrong. It is stuffed with real crab meat that when you smell or give a bite you get that crabby taste. Lovely..... And what more, they are not stingy with the crab meat, reasonable amount in your popiah. Thumbs up for this stall.

Then another of my favourite dish here would be the Ri Way Kuih Centre stall. This uncle sells the best ever kerabu bee hoon and some nyonya kuihs which is good. Dad likes the Yam cake from this stall and can't go without ordering the kerabu Bee Hoon. I think same goes for me, like father, like daughter. Besides these two stalls, there is also other stalls selling prawn mee, char koay teow, pasembur, lor mee, yong tau fu, lok-lok and many more. Our visit that day with my Aunty, we ordered practically everything to let my aunty try. She loved it all.
