Quiet a famous Chinese Restaurant I would say here in Penang. There are 3 branches if i'm not mistaken, Sungai Ara, Tmn Sri Nibong and along Gurney Drive.
What is good here is their Steamed Cod Fish. Fish is steamed with soy sauce, ginger and garnished with fried garlic, carrot slices and cilantro leaves. I do not think they just use any plain soy sauce. It is for sure mixed with other sauces which I can't seem to taste what it is. But this is the best dish ever from this place. The cod fish is tasty, juicy and extremely fresh. A must try here.
Last weekend had lunch here and the other dishes ordered were OK. We ordered their special tofu which had baby anchovies in it. Taste wise I'm no expert as I'm not a fan of tofu. Then we ordered this braise pork ribs which was not too bad. Quiet tasty indeed. It had chinese mushrooms in it which gave out that strong smell.
For vegetable, we ordered a plain baby kailan cooked in oyster sauce. This I didn't quiet like as it was very plain and tasteless for me. I'm not much of a kailan fan. But in conclusion, all 4 dishes, the intensity of the sauce taste were all totally different from each dish.
So I think this place is not a bad place to eat. Service here is good and your food is served quite fast. What is good also is that after your meal, they give a complementary dessert. That day we had red beans with sago.
