One night, Ed and me went out to cari makan. We came across this place which attracted us due to the bright blinking lights they had on the stall and the signboard which read Roti John. This stall is found at the corner of the Bayan Baru traffic lights. It is just in front of the 4-5 story flats under the trees. The stall, besides selling Roti John, also had burgers and western food. What was unique was how the stall was set up. It looked so cute for me.
We both ordered a Roti John each. Little did we know that the portion was so huge. When served, the roti was about a foot long. We were both shocked. Presentation of the roti was good, however taste wise it was disappointing. Firstly, it did not have enough of the minced meat in it. Secondly it had way too much of mayonaise and ketchup in it. Lastly, it just didn't have that Roti John taste. I felt kinda jelak halfway through and kept scrapping away the excessive mayo and ketchup from the bun. This was quite bad.

Besides this stall there was another malay stall around selling noodles and fried rice. Ed ordered a Char Koay Teow. When served, it was rather wet for a char koay teow, but I guess this is how the Malays cook it. Taste wise was abit on the salty side but it had alot of prawns in it. It tasted totally different from how the Chinese cook this dish.
Apart from the food, this place is quite a nice place to lepak at night. You sit under the tress overlooking the main road. Maybe in the near future when we decide to hang out here, we would probably try out the burger instead. Who knows it might be good for all I know.
