Mum and Dad were somehow craving for beef ribs.
So we made our way to The Gardens. Reached there around 2.30pm and Tony Romas was packed with people. There were 5 of us and this is what we ordered.
Onion rings
I call this the mother off all onion rings. Onion Rings here is not those ordinary onion rings you get from A&W. See the picture and you would know what I mean. It’s stacked up like a tower. Served with a special sauce, you are sure to fall in love with this.
2 BBQ Chicken
Chicken was huge. This is what I call a real half chicken. It was good, tender, juicy and tasty.
2 full rack beef ribs
Previously we had this we loved it however on that day itself, it was served half burnt. We ate whatever we could and put aside the burnt areas. At first we did not want to make any complains, but when the waiter asked how was everything we politely said the ribs were a bit burnt. Next thing we knew the manager was at our table apologizing to us. It is good that they do take things seriously and in a way we felt a bit malu for even telling them about it. Apparently after they received our complain, they went to the kitchen and checked on the grill, the grill temperature on that day was set too high. They thanked us for letting them know and said they would have continued giving out burnt ribs if it wasn’t for us. Manager insisted that we accept their free dinner invitation on the next visit, but since we came from Penang we told him it was alright. He still could not let us go that in the end we agreed to have a free coffee latte and 20% off on our total bill. Thumbs up to Tony Romas. Ribs were good but would be even better if it was not so charred.
Mashed Potato
Loved the Mashed potato here. This is a choice you can choose for your side dish.
Tomato Salsa
It was strong in taste. Kinda kicks that gelak-ness you have
The 4 sauces
Each table is served with 4 tyypes of sauces you can eat with your meal. Flavours are blue ridge smokies, original, red hots and carolina honeys.
